Few Facts About Koi

Did you know that Koi live between 20-35 years?! They can also grow up to 3 feet long in ideal settings, but the largest Koi was about 4 feet long and weighed over 90 pounds!

There are 24 varieties of Koi, all with beautiful colors and markings, which often attract predators, making survival more difficult. However, in ideal pond conditions, Koi are social fish and enjoy swimming in groups.

Despite attracting predators in the wild, Koi are hardy fish that resist parasites that often plague more sensitive fish species.

Building a pond with the right temperature and proper care make Koi an ideal pet, resistant and beautiful, creating a serene landscape.

So glad you stopped by for a visit and I hope you stick around for some sunshine, gardening and koi. I hope to bring you some interesting tips, beautiful pictures and live koi (yes I sell them!) to inspire you all to make your own dream backyard garden and pond.
